Un-sanctioned Newsletter

Just want to remind the membership that it was voted back in 2023 to discontinue sending out a printed newsletter. Of note, the one recently distributed is unsanctioned and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Oroville Senior Center and was created without approval.

This decision was made for two reasons. The membership donations support the ongoing expenses of the Oroville Senior Center. It was determined in 2023 that with donations decreasing and the demographics of the membership changing that a printed newsletter expense was not something the membership thought they wanted to continue. Also the intent is to drive readers to the quarterly e-newsletter and the news page on our website or Facebook and Instagram for validated information.

We encourage you to bookmark the website & news page and like/follow us on Facebook or Instagram for timely communications. We also email those members with email addresses who have opted into receiving our quarterly e-newsletter or signed up for communications through our website. The electronic platform complies with regulations around privacy and opting-in to communications which keeps us legal and above board!

Any other form of communication does not necessarily reflect the views of the board or membership.
